Safety Training

SJ&L keeps safety on the forefront of business operations. Prior to an employee at SJ&L joining a crew in the field, a new hire orientation is conducted to cover hazards associated with each job. Once an employee successfully completes their orientation, they are then assigned to a crew in which on-the-job training is performed.

All of our employees go through Drug Screen and Safety Orientation from Safety Plus.

Also in addition to this safety training, they review a safety lesson each week from Safety Plus with their supervisor.

At SJ&L Inc., we belong to many state, county and local organizations. Being a member of these organizations provides very valuable information, keeps us informed and allows us to build relationships with many of our gulf coast business owners. Many of our executives and office staff attend valuable webinars and continuing education classes. These topics can be: job specific, relating to accounting, or additional safety training.
