Dunmore, located off of Hwy 181 in Daphne, Alabama was constructed during 2007. Originally a pecan orchard, the developer elected to selectively clear the land to provide the 159 future homeowners the benefits of the remaining trees. Primarily, this project involved moving over a quarter million yards of earthwork, 55 feet of a triple 10’ x 6’ reinforced box culvert, 12, 200 feet of water, 10, 633 feet of sanitary sewer, two horizontal bores under Highway 181, two (2) lift stations, over 10,400 LF of roadway with curb and gutter and the addition of two turn lanes on Highway 181. With S J & L self performing in excess of eighty-four (84%) percent of the project, this project was completed in less than nine (9) months.

Having constructed the site work improvements on numerous apartment complexes for Park Lane Construction, Inc., once again they turned to S J & L to construct the improvements on their latest apartment complex in Baldwin County, Loxley Station in Loxley, Alabama. Prior to development, this 14 acre site was used for agricultural purposes and required undercutting and processing of three (3’) feet of fill across the site to provide a solid foundation to build upon. The project required the installation of approximately 3,520 LF of water main, 2,000 LF of gravity sewer, and 2,600 LF of roadway with curb and gutter.
